The John Kalleen Group

The John Kalleen Group is a classic ”Blue Note Era” jazz quintet, offering fresh compositions and echoing the admired hard bop and post-bop eras of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Infused with a modern, dynamic spark they deliver swinging, spirited arrangements of the classics from those eras. The JKG is a true ensemble, musicians who rehearse and arrange together to create the kind of flowing, harmonious interplay — a joyous power and full-bodied sound that comes only from a mutual, enduring dedication to the music. Put more simply, this is a tight, creative band that swings like mad and is a blast to listen to!

There is no parking at Old St. Hilary’s.  Please park at the Boardwalk Shopping Center, 1550 Tiburon Blvd. and take a shuttle to the concert.  Shuttle service begins at 3:30 p.m. in front of Rustic Bakery.
