On October 16, join friends, neighbors and first responders to get Disaster Ready! 

We encourage residents to go outside at 11 a.m. and walk their neighborhoods to learn alternate evacuation routes. Locate different routes in and out of your neighborhood, and note which streets are dead ends and which are through streets. Also at 11:00 a.m., the AlertMarin emergency notification system will be tested (make sure you're registered!). 

At 12:00 p.m., head down to McKegney Green for a free community BBQ and disaster preparedness fair! You will have the opportunity to meet police & fire community responders and other disaster response agencies, talk to your community block captains, and more! Additional games and prizes provided by local merchants will be raffled at the event.
